Journey Through Time and Celebration

Walking off of a boat in a city I don't recognize, there was a massive crowd of people trying to do the same. The majority of them were veering right, but I felt I had to go straight down the road, though I couldn't. So I followed the crowd, and it looks like they were all trying to join a big parade, and some of them even had instruments to go along with it. I manage to get towards where I was going, and make I inside a restaurant where I sit with my family for my nieces birthday. They're all happy I could make it. I told them they wouldn't believe what had to be done to get to here. It flashes back to just over a year ago, where I'm walking through the same city, and come upon the restaurant. Walking in through the front door, I pass by a group of former coworkers who say hi to me at the same time as a few college friends. I wave at the coworkers and pass on through, I make it as far as the bar, and realize my sister is there with her daughter for a birthday get together. The daughter proclaims she loves this place, and wants to come back next year. I make it my mission to ensure that happens, but can't let myself be spotted by anyone in my family, so I sat on top of the bar, where a pole blocked my sight from their table. I get a text from my sister saying "a year and 3 days we will be back here", understanding that that's when I need to book the place for, but the manager is out getting more supplies.
